As your business grows, so does your team and the number of hours they log. And as you begin to entrust day-to-day operations and projects to your Team Members, it can become harder to stay on top of who is working on what, and for how long.
To help you stay on top of everyone’s hours, FreshBooks has added Team Time Tracking. Now you can easily review logged hours and view trends that will help you and your Team work more efficiently, invoice with confidence, and better predict the length of future projects.
What Is Team Time Tracking?
Team Time Tracking gives you a monthly overview of how much time you and your Team Members dedicate to each project, each day. Knowing how time is spent will highlight trends that will help you run future projects more efficiently.
How Do I Use Team Time Tracking?
Getting started is easy:
- Click the Time Tracking tab.
- Then click the Review button at the top of the page. Here’s what it looks like in-app:
The review page shows you an overview of the time your Team logged in the current month, organized by client. Each bar represents the number of hours logged that month, for each client. If you hover over the bar, you’ll see a breakdown of hours by Team Member. Here’s what it looks like in-app:
Select a Team Member and hover over a client to see how many hours that Team Member spent per project. Here’s what it looks like in-app:
Click the calendar icon at the top right to see a monthly visual of the selected Team Member’s time. Hover over a date to see what hours were spent on what client. This will help you find any time gaps and better learn how each employee spends their workdays.
