In order to plan for the future of your business, you need to know where it stands right now. But your day-to-day responsibilities can sometimes make it tough to keep up with all your numbers. Which makes it easy to lose track of how much money a client owes, or how well your cash is flowing, or how much you’re spending across various projects.
To help you stay on top of everything, FreshBooks has added new and improved dashboard widgets. They provide an at-a-glance snapshot of how your business is doing today, so you can better plan for the road ahead.
2 powerful widgets have been added to your dashboard to provide an at-a-glance view of how much money is moving in and out of your business—down to the dollar. Here’s a breakdown of each:
This widget breaks down how much money is outstanding to your business. It also shows you how long it’s been outstanding, so you know who you need to follow up with the most. Clicking on a noted amount takes you directly to the list of Invoices that are outstanding for that time period.

Plus, using the tooltip circles at the top of the graph, you can see the totals for: Sales, COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and Expenses. Or, view a detailed breakdown by clicking the Profit & Loss Report link in the top right corner.
